This course is suitable for Reflexologists with a qualification in reflexology as recognised by Professional Reflexology (or equivalent) with little or no previous knowledge/experience of aromatherapy.  If you are a Student Reflexologist nearing the end of your recognised qualification, then you are also welcome to attend this course.

Following the completion of this course you will be able to carry out an AromaReflex treatment which involves the creation of an individualised blend of essential oils tailored to the holistic treatment plan for your client.  You will then use this unique blend of essential oils in a wax or cream during an AromaReflex treatment which the client will then take the rest of the blend home and use it on a daily basis for the following few weeks in order to carry on receiving the therapeutic benefits of their tailored blend/product.

This Course will cover:

  • History and development of Aromatherapy.
  • A comprehensive introduction to working with essential oils, where they come from, how they work, detailed safety issues and how to safely store your oils.
  • A detailed study of 14 specific essential oils and their physical, emotional, mental and spiritual effects, as well as specific safety considerations and contraindications.
  • A detailed study of 5 Pre Blended Essential Oil Blends including blends for fungal conditions, itching, blisters and hot sweaty feet.
  • A detailed introduction to the synergistic blending of essential oils, including correct dilutions and how to select oils and create a unique blend tailored to your client’s treatment plan.
  • Aroma Psychology – Emotions (Limbic System) and Olfactory System.
  • How to make up a foot/hand cream and wax blend for use in your reflexology treatments and for your clients to use at home.
  • Good practice and legal obligations.

Balens insurance have confirmed that they will accept this certificate in order to insure reflexologists to use these named oils in their treatments. In order to satisfy CPD training requirements you will be required to submit 5 Case Study treatments in order to obtain your certificate.
