London Triathlon 2017 Blog – Using Essential Oils to help with Muscle Pain! 2nd June 2017

In this blog I talk about how to use Essential Oils for muscle pain. I currently have pain in my right bicep which is causing a problem whilst I am swimming. I have been stretching it and doing some strength work but I am now going to make up a cream using Essential Oils that can help to improve muscle pain and hopefully get rid of it. So I am going to use the Panacea Blend in a cream and add some lovely Avocado Oil to really help with moisturising the skin.

The Panacea Blend comes from Essentially Aromatherapy and contains the essential oils; Peppermint, Ginger, Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Rosemary, Juniper, Lemongrass, Basil, Marjoram and Clary Sage. This is a fantastic blend of essential oils. Peppermint and Ginger bring an almost immediate relief with a powerful anaesthetic and analgesic (pain relieving) action. Roman Chamomile and Lavender begin the calm the area and relieve pain. Rosemary, Juniper and Lemongrass stimulate local blood flow to warm the muscles and get rid of any toxins ie. Lactic Acid. Rosemary is also excellent for any muscles stiffness and pain. Basil calms the nerves and Sweet Marjoram and Clary Sage ensure a long lasting relief from the pain. This is a fantastic cream and smells amazing.

Watch the video to see how I blend the oils into the cream. 🙂 Christina
